I have combination skin and although powder blush is suppose to be the best for my skin, I find that cream blush looks better. It makes my skin look more natural and smooth, while powder highlights all the flaws. What are your opinion with powder and cream blush. If cream blush looks better on you, wear cream blush. I have combination skin, and I wear cream blush and powder blush, sometimes together. Bottom line, wear what you like and what looks good. I can't help much with cream bronzer, except to say that Lancome and Estee Lauder are the best high-end makeup brands I've ever used, and I've tried just about everything. The nude/peach/gold lipstick you're looking for is Nars Orgasm. It was made to complement the blush of the same name. NARS = amazing. I personally cant stand MAC. it does a number on my skin. For foundations and powders i go to perscriptives they match you perfect for your skin. bronzer and blush i go to chanel. i have a powder/cream mix for both of them and i have combo skin too.

On the Tyra Banks show last season, they did a test on this woman who was really into wearing alot of make up and she believed the most expensive make up was the best.
Anyway they did half her face with drug store makeup and the other half with really expensive make up.. in the end each side of her face looked identical.. and when they asked her which felt better, she pointed to the side that was drug store make up.
Point being.. drug store make up is the way to go.. and I agree with that personally.
As for lipstick.. that is pretty much all I wear.. and I like the Revlon Brand. It isn't that expensive .. 6 or 7 bucks.. and it lasts for a long time, and it feels nice on my lips and they have a nice selection of colors.
Loreal has a beautiful selection of colors too.. and is in the same price range as Revlon, and their lipsticks feel wonderful on.. but I find the color doesn't last as loong as the Revlon does.. the Loreal I have to keep reapplying.
Anyway.. check out the Revlon lipsticks. Very nice stuff. And a nice selection of Nude and light colors.

I personally can't wear a lot of brands of lipstick just for the fact that I have too much pigment in my lips so, what it looks like in the tube is totally different when i put it on.... Walgreen has a return policy on their cosmetics....go get a few different brands and play beauty salon at home...Then, return what didn't work for you.

I am blonde but honestly I think the reason this color works for me has less to do with my hair color and more to do with the shade of my skin. It perfectly compliments my skin tone.
I think you can go to like a Carson's or a store similar to that and try out all kinds of different shades for free. When you hit on the right one, believe me, you'll know it right away. Good luck.

This one looks natural and especially good when paired with a nude or coffee lipliner. Sometimes I will put a gloss over it to but it doesn't need it. Its great when you do a smokey eye too. It runs about $7.49 and I find its as good a quality and long wearing as the premium brands

Hi, I am a lipstick lover and am searching for a new one. I am open to most brands and prefer brighter colors such as reds and roses. Even if the color doesn't turn out perfect I tend to mix/blend colors to attain the color I want anyway, but most importantly the lipstick can't have a strong perfumey fragrance or dry my lips out. Ok sweety since you probably have dark skin tones. You need light makeup. Somethin natural. Stay away from lipsticks, use nude lipgloss like maybeliine Juicy in Peachy Shimmer or Revlon all day wear in Crystal Clear, they're really cheap and work like a charm.
For your eyes, use blk eye liner and blackest black masacar to make them stand out. I dont think you should use foundation or face makeup just yet, because your a begginer and your just starting to wear makeup.
Umm if you want your cheeckbones to stand out, use a light peachy shimmer blush from revlon or clinique. They'll work great on your skin tone. Im puertorican and Im kinda tan complected and so thats why Im recommending these products. Also if you wanna add a lil more touch to your eyes, dust a sweep of golden bronze eye shadow to your lids to brighten up your face. And you'll look glamourus

Ok So I'm open to any make up advise. My mom died when before I was a teen and sister is and always have been the tomboy type. I've wore it here and there but always either blue eyes shadow or white. black liquid eye liner and mascara. After splitting from my last 4 year relationship. I've noticed that I like make up. 1: make the lips flesh toned using concealer set this with loose powder this is a base (also makes a great eye base for eyeshadow)
2: apply a natural lip liner to draw the shape of your lips then colour the lip in with the lip liner
3: apply your lipstick with a lip brush then take a tissue and blot it then apply the lipstick again
4: set this with the tiniest amount of loose powderlong hair styles

I never wear make-up because I can't be bothered with it, but I'd like to have a go. I've tried experimenting with eye shadow and lipstick, but have encountered 2 problems:
1. I have no idea what shade of eye shadow to use (but I do know that both blue and purple make me look like I've been punched in the eye)
2. I can never put lipstick on properly without it looking weird (usually lopsided, but sometimes just weird in a way that I can't explain).

You would look very pretty in soft earth tone eye colors/ shadows. They won't be harsh and are very natural looking.
Also, I too have the same problem with lipsticks. I would use a pale ~(but not too pale) looking pinkish-nude. You don't want to look washed-out. Pinks, Peaches , and soft natural colors look best and are almost 'mistake-proof'.

wow u have such good skin!! how do achieve it? lol........ok anyway.....i'd say use very neutral, natural colours on ur eyes, such as earthy, brownish, greenish shades, these would look good, not too dark though, make sure they're a neutral colour. also, pale, pastel colours would look good on u, such as a pale baby blue colour, or pale green...as u have a very fair complexion, i'd say go for either brown, brown-black mascara...
as for lipstick....i think it'd look best if u keep them a very natural colour, such as beige or pinky beige.....pale colours in other words.......or u could try a tinted lip balm, or some tinted lipgloss......but they're a good colour naturally, so maybe even just a clear lipgloss would look good......as for how to apply lipstick......it's difficult to describe, but search for ';how to apply lipstick'; videos on Youtube....that should help :)

You would look very pretty in soft earth tone eye colors/ shadows. They won't be harsh and are very natural looking.
Also, I too have the same problem with lipsticks. I would use a pale ~(but not too pale) looking pinkish-nude. You don't want to look washed-out. Pinks, Peaches , and soft natural colors look best and are almost 'mistake-proof'.

wow u have such good skin!! how do achieve it? lol........ok anyway.....i'd say use very neutral, natural colours on ur eyes, such as earthy, brownish, greenish shades, these would look good, not too dark though, make sure they're a neutral colour. also, pale, pastel colours would look good on u, such as a pale baby blue colour, or pale green...as u have a very fair complexion, i'd say go for either brown, brown-black mascara...
as for lipstick....i think it'd look best if u keep them a very natural colour, such as beige or pinky beige.....pale colours in other words.......or u could try a tinted lip balm, or some tinted lipgloss......but they're a good colour naturally, so maybe even just a clear lipgloss would look good......as for how to apply lipstick......it's difficult to describe, but search for ';how to apply lipstick'; videos on Youtube....that should help :)

I think you're asking how to apply lipstick.
Firstly, gently exfoliate your lips with a toothbrush or exfoliating scrub. This will get rid of dead skin.
Next, moisturize your lips with chapstick or any other lip balm.
Then, apply lipliner the same shade as your lipstick, all over your lips. Don't do the edges yet though.
Now, blot your lipstick and re-apply.
Next, apply your lipstick. If your lips need more chapstick, then apply it.
Now, use your lipliner to outline your lips.
Then, apply concealer around your lip line. This will prevent feathering (lip colour bleeding onto your skin).
Finish with a clear or same coloured gloss if your wish!

Well, I have a trick for all of you: CONCEALER.
Yes. The same concealer that you use for your face will help your lipstick and/or lip gloss stay right there. Just put a little bit of concealer on your finger tips and use it as a lipstick. Not too much, just a little bit. Wait a few seconds, and then apply your normal lipstick and/or lip gloss.
The lipstick colour totally covers the concealer, so you won't have a colour mixture. And also, it helps to have a neutral and even colour before applying the lipstick and lip gloss.

First of all, get a great concealer, not foundation. Foundation you apply all over your face, concealer is just for blemishes! Just dab it over your blemishes, I reccomend Prescriptives because it is has an SPF, and hides all problem areas, even red ones, and this way it doesn't look unnatural when you are in the sunlight. Always wash your face first and moisturize (keep in mind your skin, i.e. dry, oily) if oily use a non-oil based concealer and face lotion. Then, use a golden bronzer (walgreens, cvs) and use that to add color and dimension. If you have a round face and want it to look longer, brush it just under the cheekbones. If your face is thinner, apply it on the apples of your cheeks. I always use a neutral colored eyeshadow for the day, just use a deep brown above the crease halfway between the lid and your eyebrow. The use a nude on your lids, and a bright white just under your eyebrow, which will really open up the eye. Don;t use black eyeliner, 'cept if you have dark hair, lashes, etc, unless it is night time and you are going out. Use a good mascara (I love L'Oreal, because it has the ocnditioning end of the wand to use first, and then the regular mascara at the other end) what a difference! Finally a nude lip liner, to define your lips, and make them look a little bigger if you want. Then swipe on some gloss. Put a little on the center of your bottom lip, if you are looking for the pouty look. Throw on something cute, and you are good to go!
My never fail tip, go too a chemist and find someone who can help you choose foundation your colour, when applying it i use a liquid foundation so i put too blobs on my cheek one on my nose one on each eye lid three on my forehead and one on my chin then i just rub it all around my face and smooth it out in places it looks bad. then i use pink creme blush and rub that on my cheek bones up to my hair line above my ears but make sure its not too pink lol, %26amp;%26amp; yeah lol, thats as good as i get, but i also use mascara not eyeliner cause it look tacky. people seem to like my makeup often saying it looks natural and saying i look good =]]

apply some eyeshadow
then eyeliner gose on botton lash lind and top lash line

Well saying you slop it on makes it sound like you rush it. Take your time apply in lightly if a color isn't dark enough you can add more but start with too much it looks messy. Mascara is easy but also you have to do it slow. Start at the lash line and slowly lift it up. I've heard it works better if you stick your tongue out a little. Don't ask why it just works for some reason. LOL. Eyeliner (with liquid) do short strokes instead of one solid line to line your eyes. If you do one solid line it doesn't come out even. Hope this helps!!

A good solution would be buying a long lasting lipstick or lip gloss, like the ones from Maybelline and Rimmel. But, seriously, who wants to spend $20 on a lipstick?
Well, I have a trick for all of you: CONCEALER.
Yes. The same concealer that you use for your face will help your lipstick and/or lip gloss stay right there. Just put a little bit of concealer on your finger tips and use it as a lipstick. Not too much, just a little bit. Wait a few seconds, and then apply your normal lipstick and/or lip gloss.
The lipstick colour totally covers the concealer, so you won't have a colour mixture. And also, it helps to have a neutral and even colour before applying the lipstick and lip gloss.

I actually prefer lip chap lol the medicated kind in a squirt out tube, i know its weird to wear lip chap with make up but i like it because my lips get chapped easily but lip gloss is ok i dnt like lipstick

First of all, get a great concealer, not foundation. Foundation you apply all over your face, concealer is just for blemishes! Just dab it over your blemishes, I reccomend Prescriptives because it is has an SPF, and hides all problem areas, even red ones, and this way it doesn't look unnatural when you are in the sunlight. Always wash your face first and moisturize (keep in mind your skin, i.e. dry, oily) if oily use a non-oil based concealer and face lotion. Then, use a golden bronzer (walgreens, cvs) and use that to add color and dimension. If you have a round face and want it to look longer, brush it just under the cheekbones. If your face is thinner, apply it on the apples of your cheeks. I always use a neutral colored eyeshadow for the day, just use a deep brown above the crease halfway between the lid and your eyebrow. The use a nude on your lids, and a bright white just under your eyebrow, which will really open up the eye. Don;t use black eyeliner, 'cept if you have dark hair, lashes, etc, unless it is night time and you are going out. Use a good mascara (I love L'Oreal, because it has the ocnditioning end of the wand to use first, and then the regular mascara at the other end) what a difference! Finally a nude lip liner, to define your lips, and make them look a little bigger if you want. Then swipe on some gloss. Put a little on the center of your bottom lip, if you are looking for the pouty look. Throw on something cute, and you are good to go!
My never fail tip, go too a chemist and find someone who can help you choose foundation your colour, when applying it i use a liquid foundation so i put too blobs on my cheek one on my nose one on each eye lid three on my forehead and one on my chin then i just rub it all around my face and smooth it out in places it looks bad. then i use pink creme blush and rub that on my cheek bones up to my hair line above my ears but make sure its not too pink lol, %26amp;%26amp; yeah lol, thats as good as i get, but i also use mascara not eyeliner cause it look tacky. people seem to like my makeup often saying it looks natural and saying i look good =]]

then eyeliner gose on botton lash lind and top lash line

Well saying you slop it on makes it sound like you rush it. Take your time apply in lightly if a color isn't dark enough you can add more but start with too much it looks messy. Mascara is easy but also you have to do it slow. Start at the lash line and slowly lift it up. I've heard it works better if you stick your tongue out a little. Don't ask why it just works for some reason. LOL. Eyeliner (with liquid) do short strokes instead of one solid line to line your eyes. If you do one solid line it doesn't come out even. Fantastic Faves: I love Lancome everything...smokey green eyes, blush is tawny, lipstick is apricot glaze, and I like the light brown eye brush. Brushes are everything if you know how to use them...buy the good ones and practice. I also use Sasha consealer from Target it is the best and resonably priced....wish someone did my makeup everyday...I am going to try Bare Minerals soon...so I won't look too made up...going for more natural look....
I like warm tones: mocha brown eye shadow, medium brown eyebrow pencil, black mascara and eyeliner, coral or mocha lipstick, and copper blush
Eyeshadow: I use Almay's line for this becaue I have green eyes that I want to bring out just a bit. It is a light green from brow to crease, darker green on the crease, and a pretty light purple on the eyelid.
Eyeliner: Black, but I am going to switch over to a brownish red to accent my eye color soon.
Mascara: Black
Foundation: Pale with yellow/orange undertones.
Blush: A really pretty peach just a few shades... peachier than my face.
Eyebrow color: A really dark brown eyebrow shadow becaue although I have black thick hair, my eyebrows arent as thick.
Lipstick: Berry colors with red in them, usually a gloss.

Eyes: I have three. A flat haired one with a nice tip for my eyelid, a poofy one for my brow, and a tiny little poofy one for my crease. I also have an eyebrow brush. And one of those with the one side for your eyelashes, the other for your eyebrows.

All of my brushes are from a makeup counter called perscriptives, and are all extrmely expensive. Even though they cost more, they are soft so my skin does not get pulled or irritated when I apply makeup.

I like natural colors the most. I am not saying that your make up doesn't look good, but the colors you are mentioning that you put on yourself are very harsh colors. Not many people can pull those off. And dark black eye liner, is ok but its becoming a thing of the past...But it depends how you pair the eye liner with the eyeshadow. It can look good with a violet or even pink. But a heavy load of black eye liner looks rather disgusting (not saying you do that).
My own personal belief is that the more natural looking the make up, the better you look. I agree with your pro make up brushes, its a must have.

I love my aqua Revlon eyeshadow its really shimmery...really black mascara because my eyelashes are long and it stands out even more.....i also like using colour that are not normally used...like blending red and black eyeshadow....its so dramatic...as for lips i like cover girls mocha liptint.....Name your fave make-up colors. Fantastic Faves: I love Lancome everything...smokey green eyes, blush is tawny, lipstick is apricot glaze, and I like the light brown eye brush. Brushes are everything if you know how to use them...buy the good ones and practice. I also use Sasha consealer from Target it is the best and resonably priced....wish someone did my makeup everyday...I am going to try Bare Minerals soon...so I won't look too made up...going for more natural look....
I like warm tones: mocha brown eye shadow, medium brown eyebrow pencil, black mascara and eyeliner, coral or mocha lipstick, and copper blush
Eyeshadow: I use Almay's line for this becaue I have green eyes that I want to bring out just a bit. It is a light green from brow to crease, darker green on the crease, and a pretty light purple on the eyelid.
Eyeliner: Black, but I am going to switch over to a brownish red to accent my eye color soon.
Mascara: Black
Foundation: Pale with yellow/orange undertones.
Blush: A really pretty peach just a few shades... peachier than my face.
Eyebrow color: A really dark brown eyebrow shadow becaue although I have black thick hair, my eyebrows arent as thick.
Lipstick: Berry colors with red in them, usually a gloss.

Eyes: I have three. A flat haired one with a nice tip for my eyelid, a poofy one for my brow, and a tiny little poofy one for my crease. I also have an eyebrow brush. And one of those with the one side for your eyelashes, the other for your eyebrows.
Blush: Regular looking blush brush.
All of my brushes are from a makeup counter called perscriptives, and are all extrmely expensive. Even though they cost more, they are soft so my skin does not get pulled or irritated when I apply makeup.

My fan lipstick is light pinks i like alot of shine.

I have very fair skin and light hair, so I wear a light peach blush, purple shadow in the crease and very light gold under my brow, brown-black eyeliner, black mascara, and a light pink gloss. That sounds like a lot, but I use very little of each :-)
I use green or lilac eyeshadow this time of year, coral/peachy blush, medium brown lip liner...with that new pink lip gloss from loreal (I fill in my lips completely with the liner). I've been sporting coral or fuchsia nails - or even french white tips depending on my mood. I guess the cosmetic that I use the most would be my lip gloss -

I like natural colors the most. I am not saying that your make up doesn't look good, but the colors you are mentioning that you put on yourself are very harsh colors. Not many people can pull those off. And dark black eye liner, is ok but its becoming a thing of the past...But it depends how you pair the eye liner with the eyeshadow. It can look good with a violet or even pink. But a heavy load of black eye liner looks rather disgusting (not saying you do that).
My own personal belief is that the more natural looking the make up, the better you look. I agree with your pro make up brushes, its a must have.

Eyeliner and mascara will be fine with red lips; just don't pile on the eyeliner. I'd recommend using a softer color like brown or grey instead of black, or applying black eyeliner very thinly. Also try lining only the outer 1/3 of your lower lid instead of the whole lower lid -- this will help make your eyes look bigger and your eyeliner will look less harsh!
Anyone can wear red lipstick if you find the right shade! To start, do you know what your undertones are? Warm undertones will look best with a warm red -- try a warm wine color or an orangey-red. Cool undertones look best with cool reds -- try a bright fire-engine red, purple-ish red, or berry color. best deoderant TEEN SPIRIT STICK strawberry works like a charm(even if ur not a teenager) it smells great last long stays on clear and its affordable!! best makeup mrand id have to say it just dependeds on u and lasting lipgloss the two in one lipgloss with one end clear and one a color srry cant remeber name
to avoid BO i used milcu powder, I'm also found of using maybelline, MAC, POUT lipstick!. For long lasting effect i smudge on a loose powder before applying the lipstick, I used CLINIQUE long lasting shades...

in answer to the question, if theres no policy against makeup at the school, then sure - why not? :-)
i think it's fine for guys to wear make up when and wherever they want to, and it doesn't have to mean they're gay or emo.
i think if you have that whole 'emo' thing going on you could probably get away with eyeliner... i'd stear clear from the lipstick (maybe go with a chapstick).. unless your into drag... then go for it.
If that makes them feel unique or what ever sure

Lipstick is a bit too much for school for everybody in my opinion.
As others have said, if a guy wears makeup to school he's going to get made fun of, but in high school pretty much everyone gets made fun of. Might as well get made fun of for being interesting, right?
