A lipstick brand that lasts and doesn't bug you?

I have not been a lipstick-wearer for all my life, mostly because I have never found a brand that stays on and looks good without feeling waxy or cakey.





I would like to know about a lipstick that goes on smooth, really lasts, does not ';bleed'; at the edges... Do I have to put something underneath lipstick to achieve this? Thanks, I am really a novice... :-)A lipstick brand that lasts and doesn't bug you?
I had that same problem for a long time as well. I recently found one that works great though. It's called Revlon Color Stay and is the two in one with lip gloss. The reason I like it so much is because if you smear the lipstick while applying it, it is easily wiped off. But once you apply the gloss over it, it is there to stay without smuding, or caking or only half of it staying on. I love it. DIfferent lipsticks work better for different people. If you know someone who sells Avon they have many different formulas and different colors. I have tried Mary Kay but it makes my lips very dry, however if you decide you do not like the lipstick you can get a no hassle money back thing (very nice), their lipstick primer does work well to keep it from feathering but you will still get a heavy lipstick feeling.
Burt's Bees lip shimmer (some colors are more matte), goes on smooth and stays like that and they are also all-natural, they look great with a gloss on them (like C.O. Bigelow mentha libshine).





Or Mary Kay lipsticksare great. Mary Kay also has a ';lip primer'; that you put under the lipsick so that it doesn't feather/bleed. With a little gloss over the lipstick, it looks great and lasts.

I use the CoverGirl long lasting lipstick. It's the stuff that stays on for 8+ hours and it really does work.





It's like a dye for your lips... it works great. It comes with the color and then a stick of just clear lip gloss. Once you put it on, it looks amazing and stays that way! You only have to put on more gloss if you lick it off or something. But the color never comes off.
if u put lipliner around the shade of ur lips and shade it in, its better than not putting anything it helps ur lipstick last alil longer, and also i heard that ';Lip Prime'; helps it last longer too, i use the one from MAC, not really sure if it helps alot for me cuz i use it mainly for moisture i put lipgloss over it.
If your lipstick bleeds at the edges ~~~ Use a Clear Lip Liner!! Apply it first then fill in your lips with lipstick or lip gloss.

im in the same boat as you...when ever i wear lipstick it gets on my teeth and smudges everywhere. Is there a secret to how you should wear lipstick and for it to last the whole day without getting messed up?
